# Will-call delivery

By Nick Bruzzi · Published 2026-07-08 · https://heatprice.com/glossary/will-call-delivery

A delivery model where you monitor your own tank gauge and call to order oil when you run low, paying that day's price.

It gives you full control to shop the price spread and time your buys — but you carry the run-out risk, which is sharpest during a cold snap, when dealers deliver to their contracted automatic customers first and a will-call order can wait days.
